Nicholas Ware has moved up from deputy manager to co-manager of the Henderson Fixed Interest Monthly Income Fund.

Simultaneously, Rebecca Morris-Charles has been appointed deputy manager of the Henderson Preference and Bond Fund.

The pair have joined John Pattullo and Jenna Barnard, current managers on both funds.

Ware, who joined the retail fixed income team in September 2012 from the Henderson loans team, will support Pattullo and Barnard by focusing primarily on industrial high-yield stock selection. He has a 14 year track record in credit markets and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Morris-Charles joined Henderson in 2009 through the graduate scheme after successfully completing a masters degree in mathematics from the University of Bath. A CFA charterholder, her key responsibilities will include general portfolio duties and industrial high-yield stock selection.

Pattullo, head of retail fixed income at Henderson said: "It is important to nurture up-and-coming talent. Given Nicholas and Rebecca’s extensive knowledge of credit these are well-deserved and logical promotions. Both have previously been involved in key investment decisions and made a material contribution to client performance. I am confident that they will provide further depth and breadth to the team and clients will benefit from having them formally appointed."
