Prior to joining the Boston-based team Pekowitz worked at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors as a senior REIT Analyst.
He will now be responsible for identifying new-listed real estate investments in North American and South American markets.
Standard Life Investments said it is ranked as the 18th largest real estate investor in the world, according to Global Alternatives Survey 2012 ranking by pension fund AUM.
