Based in the London office, he will be responsible for developing the firm’s global equity management expertise both through current investment strategies and by driving innovation.
Melhuish left the same role at UBS after five years last summer to take time out. He was replaced by Nick Irish. Before this, he was lead portfolio manager on a range of global equity strategies at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management.
Earlier in the year the firm appointed Laurent Guillet as chief executive of its London office as part of efforts to enhance its UK business.
