Liontrust’s head of global distribution Ian Chimes (pictured) will retire in March 2025 to close a 40-year career in asset management.
He has held senior leadership roles at Henderson, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Psigma Asset Management and Miton Group, before joining Liontrust eight years ago.
Meanwhile, head of institutional sales Frank Doyle will also exit the firm in March next year, with head of UK distribution Kristian Cook taking on his responsibilities.
Cook is currently responsible for single strategy fund distribution in the UK.
John Ions, CEO of Liontrust, said: “I have known Ian since we worked together at Henderson. He has always been one of the most dedicated and hard-working people in the industry, having fantastic relationships with clients.
“Ian has done a brilliant job for Liontrust in driving forward distribution and the wider business. When he joined us eight years ago, Ian brought the phrase ‘the relentless application of the basics’ into the company and we have retained it ever since as a core belief.
“Kristian has been building a very strong distribution team in the UK and will be able to drive this forward with the addition of institutional clients after Frank has made considerable progress in this area during his time at Liontrust.”
