FGT has appointed former Brewin Dolphin board member Pars Purewal as an independent non-executive director.
He has 38 years of experience in the industry, having held a non-executive director position at Federated Hermes, as well as Brewin Dolphin. He also spent 25 years as a partner at PWC, spanning its audit and advisory, people, sales, and UK asset management teams.
Purewal currently sits on the board at the Law Debenture Corporation and Temple Holdings, and is chair of Trustees for Beyond Food Foundation.
His appointment is expected to be ratified after the trust’s AGM in January 2023.
The move comes after FGT manager Nick Train (pictured) reported an understated performance in October, as net asset value and share price grew 0.4% and 0.8%, respectively, while its benchmark FTSE All Share index was up 3.1% for the month.
