Just a month after conquering Mount Kilimanjaro with her husband, Sarah de Lagarde slipped on the London Underground on 30 September and fell through the gap between the train and platform.
Tragically, nobody saw what happened. The train pulled out of the station, another arrived, and Sarah lost her arm and leg.

Sarah and her husband Jeremy have launched a GoFundMe page to raise £250,000 for a bionic arm.
As written by Jeremy: “The National Health Service here in the UK are doing the most incredible job of helping her get back to her normal life but while there are options for below-the-knee prosthetics, the arm is a lot more complicated.”
Sarah has been a warm and welcoming presence in industry for two decades. Her career included spells at JP Morgan, F&C Asset Management, BNY Mellon and Schroders before she joined the Janus Henderson Investors team in 2019.
