BNP Paribas has bolstered its UK business development team with a pair of hires.
Simon Mooney (pictured) was appointed head of UK consultant relations last month.
Based in London, he will oversee the team’s relationships with key consultants locally, as well as in selected global markets and specialist areas, and will work closely with his counterpart teams in Europe and the US.
He joins after seven years at State Street Global Advisors, where he was most recently its UK consultant relations boss. His 22-year career also includes sales and business development roles at Insight Investment, F&C and P-Solve Asset Solutions.
Reporting to Mooney is Catherine Gill, who joined the London office as a senior consultant relations manager on 4 July from Newton Investment Management.
Prior to her seven years at Newton, she worked for Baring Asset Management and Heptagon Capital.
Phil Dawes, head of distribution for UK & Ireland, said the pair will play a key role in developing BNPP AM’s consultancy-led business, with a focus on promoting its ESG and private markets expertise.
