SPW adds four new hires in the North East and Oxford

Follows recent opening of Schroders Personal Wealth’s Leeds office

Schroders Personal Wealth has tapped a Barclays Wealth man to lead business development and partnerships in Yorkshire and the North East.

Mark Shay (pictured left with regional director Chris Lomas) will be responsible for brand and marketing activities. In addition to Barclays Wealth, he was part of the team that launched Metro’s high street bank. Before that he headed up Citigold Wealth Management with Citibank in London, where he worked for 12 years.

SPW regional director for Yorkshire and the North East Chris Lomas said Shay’s appointment was part of the wealth manager’s continued commitment to Yorkshire and the North East. “Mark has a vast amount of experience and an extensive network across many business organisations in the area. He is therefore ideally placed to support SPW’s mission of providing more advice to more people,” Lomas said in a press release.

SPW recently announced the opening of its Leeds office, located in City Square, to act as the regional hub to serve its Yorkshire and the North East client base.
