Fidelity International has hired Courtiers’ head of asset management Caroline Shaw for its £41bn solutions and multi-asset business.
Shaw (pictured) joins Fidelity’s London office in September and will focus on developing its sustainable and thematic investment capabilities.
The move sees her close the chapter on a two-decade career at Henley-based wealth manager Courtiers. As head of asset management, Shaw oversaw £875m worth of multi-asset and equity income strategies alongside CIO Gary Reynolds.
Shaw’s deep value Courtiers UK Equity Income fund has enjoyed a major bounce back amid the UK’s recovery from the pandemic and now sits in the top quartile over three and five years. Over the last year the £24.4m fund has returned 56.3%, double the 28.6% sector average.

The £171.4m Courtiers Total Return Growth fund, which Shaw is lead manager on, has also outpaced peers and is up 33.3% compared with the IA Flexible Investment’s gains of 18.3% in the past year.
Fidelity International global head of solutions and multi asset Henk-Jan Rikkerink said: “Caroline joins with significant experience in asset allocation and team-based decision-making processes, having delivered strong investment outcomes over her career so far.
“Her combination of skillsets and experience will provide a strong contribution to Fidelity Solutions & Multi Asset, working closely with existing members of the team as we look to further develop our sustainable and thematic offering over the coming years.”
