Fidelity International has nabbed Salman Ahmed from Lombard Odier Investment Managers to a newly-created asset allocation leadership role.
Ahmed (pictured), currently chief investment strategist at Lombard Odier IM, will head up the global macro and strategic asset allocation group when he joins Fidelity in August.
Fidelity International global CIO Andrew McCaffery said the development of the group was an important step in the evolution of the solutions and multi-asset business. “The team will provide key capital market research across public and private markets that directly inputs into our investment teams and will enhance our strategic asset allocation approach.”
Global macro economist Anna Stupnytska and lead cross asset strategist Wen-Wen Lindroth will also join the team and report into Ahmed.
McCaffery said the team was expected to grow further over time.
At Lombard Odier IM, Ahmed is also co-chair of the investment committee. He was previously head of global macro at EDF and a global economist at Goldman Sachs.
