Close Brothers Asset Management has nabbed Sarah Keltie to become senior investment business development director.
Keltie (pictured) joins from law firm Taylor Wessing, where she spent eight years, most recently as senior international private wealth business development manager. Previously she worked at FTI Consulting.
At CBAM, she will focus on expanding the firm’s high net worth client proposition. Based in the London office, she will work with lawyers, accountants, trust companies and investment consultants.
She will report to CBAM head of business development and marketing Matthew Spencer, who said CBAM is currently creating a “leading team to spearhead the growth of our market share”. Spencer himself only joined CBAM in October 2019.
“Sarah’s experience of implementing a streamlined and coherent business approach, coupled with delivering successful profile-raising initiatives, will be invaluable in maintaining the excellent service that we provide, as well as building capacity to attract new clients,” Spencer said.
CBAM builds out HNW business

In August, Alastair Wilson, Philip Young and Lucy Katzarova were all hired to support the expansion of its investment management service for high net worth clients.
In Scotland, Christopher Godfrey-Faussett was appointed from Rathbones to the lead the HNW push.
In January, CBAM poached Andrew Hess from Rathbones to take on the role of managing director of its high net worth business, based in the West End office. This was followed by the appointment of Christopher Godfrey-Faussett, also from Rathbones, as managing director based in Scotland.
