Zurich boss joins Benchmark Capital as it faces strong demand

Benchmark Capital has appointed a Zurich Insurance boss to its Sussex office as it experiences strong client demand.

David White (pictured) will become group managing director at the wealth technology business working alongside chief executive Ian Cooke.

Benchmark Capital said in a press release that it was experiencing “strong client demand” and White would help “oversee and harness this growth”. He joins in February.

In 2016 Benchmark Capital joined Schroders.

“We are already a leading partner for many wealth advisers in the UK but we have plans to significantly increase our footprint in the market,” said Cooke.

White added that Benchmark had built a “solid foundation among the wealth and financial planning community” and that it would go “from strength to strength, supporting Schroders’ ambitions in the UK retail wealth space”.

At Zurich, White was CEO of their EMEA travel insurance business and managing director of the UK retail business. He was previously Head of Fidelity Fundsnetwork.
