Charles Stanley has brought one of its external consultants in-house for a newly-created middle office role.

Louise Fletcher had been “putting in place the groundwork to modernise operating processes through greater flexibility and reduction of duplication”, a press release said.

Fletcher will continue this work in her new role as head of middle office.

She had worked with Charles Stanley for over three years via Sunskia, a boutique consultancy focused on asset management, general and life insurance.

Before Sunskia, she spent 12 years at Aviva Investors, including seven as head of business change, according to Linkedin.

As head of middle office, she will create a single central support system for the group.

Charles Stanley chief executive Paul Abberley said Fletcher had an “impressive track record in organisational change”.

“This appointment is a critical component of our restructuring work to help achieve our overall strategic aims of improving functionality across the business and centralising areas of expertise.”

Abberley added: “This will be invaluable in helping transform our processes and systems to improve operational efficiency.”
