Brooks Macdonald’s Richard Allison is retiring from his role as regional business development director in Scotland after nine years and will be replaced by Lee Crowe.

Allison (pictured) began at Brooks Macdonald in 2010. Prior to this, he worked at Cornelian Asset Managers from 2002 to 2007 as sales and marketing director.

His Linkedin page was inundated with comments after he revealed the news of his retirement. He wrote: “My last ‘Monday morning blues’ feeling as I retire from Brooks Macdonald on Friday this week after a fun nine years working with great people and a great business.

“Thanks to all those professional connections and friends that have supported me and the Brooks Macdonald Scotland team and wishing everybody continued success in the future.”

Crowe, who is currently business development manager at the firm, will take over from Allison.

John Wallace, managing director and co-head of UK investment management at Brooks Macdonald, said: “We want to thank Richard for his significant contribution to Brooks Macdonald over the years. His strong focus on doing the right thing for clients and advisers has been a feature of his career.

“Prior to his retirement, Richard took pains to ensure all his relationships were handed over to his Scotland office colleague – Lee Crowe – to ensure continuity. We know Richard will enjoy spending his newly found free time with his family, and his love of cricket, and we wish him all the best for his retirement.”
