Formerly, Li was lead portfolio manager of ECM’s diversified financials Europe fund and co-manager of its absolute return credit fund. Li was earlier a management consultant at Accenture specialising in equity derivatives.
Li will be jointly managing a range of bond funds alongside GLG portfolio managers Jon Mawby and Steve Roth.
“Building out our fixed income platform is a strategic focus for the business and we are seeking to enhance our resource in this area in line with growing demand for our strategies,” GLG co-CEO Teun Johnston said. “From Jon’s first-hand experience of working with Andy we know he has the ability to further strengthen our fixed income capability and we are very pleased to welcome him to GLG,” he added.
