Struthers joins on 9th January from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was global head of investment solutions. He will report to chief investment officer Rod Paris.
He will be responsible for investment governance, the investment operating platform, MyFolio and derivatives counterparty management, and will also assume the responsibilities of head of investment process Bill Lambert who is retiring in March 2017 after 13 years at SLI.
Lambert will continue in his role until 31st March, and over the next three months will work with Struthers ‘to ensure a smooth transition.’

His expertise from working in a multi-asset solutions role over the past 15 years is also an ideal fit for Standard Life Investments, as a market leader in multi asset investing and investment solutions.”
