For John Husselbee, head of multi asset at Liontrust, comparing the two funds is akin to a ‘spot the difference’ competition, suggesting a forensic approach is required to find our winner.
“In summary both managers can boast experience and a track record of managing predominantly large cap concentrated UK equity portfolios,” he says.
“Their portfolios invest in their best long-term ideas, usually around thirty stocks each and have low fund turnover. In addition, both individuals are amongst the best orators in the funds industry equally comfortable one to one or on their feet in front a large audience.”
