In a newly formed role as CIO, he has taken on an expanding proposition for private individuals and corporate pension schemes, which currently totals £80m in assets under advice.

Wyllie spent eight years at Iveagh, the Guinness family office, but announced he was to leave earlier this summer following its acquisition by City Financial

In his new role, he heads a team of seven investment managers and analysts looking after the firm’s discretionary segregated accounts.

James Connor, founding partner of Connor Broadley, said: “Chris has unparalleled experience and expertise and his arrival as chief investment officer heralds the next stage of the development of our discretionary investment business, which continues to go from strength to strength.

“It shows Connor Broadley’s commitment to attracting top talent in order to meet and exceed the highest expectations of our clients.”
