To replace her Henderson has hired JP Morgan Asset Management’s global chief operating officer of investment management Roger Thompson.
Prior to this role Thompson was head of JPM AM’s UK franchise and he had worked at the company for 19 years in a broad range of roles.
His appointment as CFO and director of Henderson is expected to become effective on 1 July, subject to regulatory approval from the FCA.
Rupert Pennant-Rea, chairman of Henderson Group, said: “Garrood has made an outstanding contribution to the business and we wish her well. I am pleased she will remain with the Group through to March next year enabling a seamless transition as well as overseeing the completion of a number of projects the Group is working on.”
