The list recognises managers who have been consistently Alpha-rated by the research agency over the last seven years, with more than half of managers holding on to their spot for the third-year running.
Industry heavyweights Richard Woolnough of M&G, Fidelity’s Ian Spreadbury and equity income manager Neil Woodford all held on to their place this year, as did Crux Asset Management’s Richard Pease and Standard Life’s Harry Nimmo.
The managers included in the Hall of Fame represents around 2% of the industry.
Investors can be assured that the managers on the list are there because of skill, rather than luck, according to Mika-John Southworth, FE director.
He said: “Investors crave consistency from asset managers to help protect their capital, especially in periods of prolonged uncertainty and market volatility. Seven years of delivering risk-adjusted alpha and consistent outperformance is a big ask.”
