Effective from 15 October, the appointment sees Kos take up a position alongside Fabrizio Quirighetti at the head of the seven-strong multi-asset team, in addition to assuming the role of SYZ’s vice chief investment officer.
Kos will also become lead manager on the OYSTER Multi-Asset Diversified Fund, which has been run by Quirighetti since the departure of Paulo Luban in March last year.
Quirighetti will remain in charge of the firm’s Multi-Asset Absolute Return EUR, Multi-Asset Absolute Return GBP and Fixed Income strategies.
Kos was previously at the helm of Barings’ Euro Dynamic Asset Allocation and Dynamic Emerging Market funds, having begun his finance career with the firm as an investment analyst in 2005.
SYZ said that the expansion of its senior multi-asset roster was part of the group’s ongoing development of its core investment offering.
Katia Coudray, SYZ CEO, said: “Kos is an investment professional who is highly respected by his peers and his renowned experience in active allocation management adds value to our fund management team.”
