Butcher has been at the Brewin Dolphin for nine years, having joined in October 2004. He has left the firm with immediate effect to spend more time with his family.
Brewin Dolphin confirmed Butcher has left with its “well wishes and support”. The firm will confirm whether or not he will be replaced in due course.
