Penrose was previously vice president of global distribution at Barclays Capital Funds & Advisory for three years, where he lead the distribution of the firm’s Ucits III funds.
His key relationships have been with funds of funds managers, discretionary wealth managers, IFAs and networks.
Prior to joining Barclays, he worked for five years at Gartmore Investment Management as account director and sales manager.
Syz Asset Management is a subsidiary of Swiss banking group Syz & Co and has been in the UK market for 12 years.
Its main emphasis has been on its alternative, absolute return and European equities strategies.
