In the newly-created role, Scammel is responsible for promoting and distributing a range of funds internationally and in the south-west of England.
Prior to joining he was senior business development manager at Frontier Investment Management. Previously he worked for Friends Provident International in various business development roles.
“David brings to the role a wealth of international experience as well as excellent relationships with advisers across many of our target markets,” head of sales Mark Watson said.
Earlier this year, BMF launched an actively-managed Ucits core property fund. The daily-priced vehicle offers investors exposure to the global real estate markets by investing mainly in property derivatives.
