Such is the emphasis on the weakness of the – or maybe very-slowly-improving – US economy it is easy to forget that the S&P 500 is close to its mid-2007 levels and year-to-date is up nearly 10% (around 1,400); as well as being the world’s largest economy it is still home to some of the world’s largest, multi-national companies and hence some great investment opportunities.
