In his new role, he will specialise in European fixed income providing the team with insights in this area.
Prior to joining, he was head of European financials fundamental credit research at BlackRock, where he left 3 months ago. Portfolio Adviser understands that his responsibilities have been absorbed across the team and that no direct replacement is planned for the time being. He has over 20 years of experience in the European insurance industry working as an actuary, analyst and investor in the sector.
The fixed income team at Schroders is led by Patrick Vogel, head of European credit, who oversees £10.5bn assets. The team counts 18 experts in the area, including nine portfolio managers and quantitative strategists, as well as nine analysts.
The company said it was aiming to growth team in the next months and looking to hire new team members.
