Based in Edinburgh, and reporting to head of global client management Peter Dorward, Marsland will work closely with SWIP’s principally the Financial Solutions Group and institutional pension fund clients. He has specific responsibility for providing specialist support for clients for which SWIP is providing de-risking solution.
At Insight Investment, Marsland was responsible for managing a number of key accounts with assets in excess of £6bn. His client base was principally made up of segregated UK pension schemes but he also had responsibility for insurance, sovereign wealth and charitable mandates.
He has also worked at AXA Rosenberg, Fidelity International, and Deutsche Asset Management.
