Coutts & Co has announced the details of its new UK management structure under CEO Michael Morley.

Michael Morley is the chief executive of Coutts & Co who will have six regional managing directors reporting to him, one of whom is former HSBC man Paul Smith, who will be responsible for Coutts’ offices in the south of England and Wales.

He joined HSNC Private Bank at its outset, helping it to grow from zero to 750 bankers running £20bn of client assets.

Morley explained that while the firm is undergoing a global strategy, the UK is core to its business hence the current emphasis on the UK teams. All six of the MDs will sit on Coutts’ UK management committee:

James Fleming will be MD for London with responsibility for the entrepreneurs, landowners and inpats client groups. This is a move for Fleming from Coutts International where he had recently been leading the growth strategy for the Middle East;

Harry Keogh will be MD for London with responsibility for the professionals, executives and sports & entertainments clients groups. He joined Coutts in 2009 having run RBS/NatWest private banking division.

Paul Smith will become MD, south and Wales.

Dylan Williams will be MD, north and Ireland. He joined Coutts as a graduate in 1998 working in London before moving on to Manchester recently becoming managing partner for the north.

Graham Storrie continues to be MD, Adam and Company, and has market leadership responsibility for Scotland.

Steve Camm continues to be MD, retail and international personal banking and has market leadership for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
