Seven Investment Management has appointed Close Brothers Asset Management managing director Colin Rowe to lead its private client business.

According to a Companies House filing, Rowe started at the firm on 16 September.

He joins 7IM after four years at Close Brothers where he was responsible for developing the company’s Midlands hub and leading its national acquisition strategy.

Before Close Brothers, he was chief executive of Cascade Cash Management and prior to that, a director at Irwin Mitchell Asset Management.

He has also worked at Kleinwort Benson as head of private wealth management and spent 16 years at HSBC, latterly as divisional director of commercial investments and insurance.

7IM chief executive Dean Proctor (pictured) said: “Colin is an experienced leader in this sector, having worked and led businesses at organisations including HSBC, Kleinwort Benson, Irwin Mitchell Asset Management and most recently Close Brothers Asset Management, where he was the MD for the private client business.

“Colin’s experience and insight will be vital in helping to drive forward our private client business.”
