UBS appoints new head of fixed income

UBS Asset Management has hired Hayden Briscoe as head of fixed income, Asia Pacific, with immediate effect.

Based in Hong Kong, Briscoe reports to John Dugenske, global head of fixed income at UBS Asset Management in his new role, and is part of the Asset Management APAC Executive Committee. He will oversee all fixed income portfolio management and business activities in the region. Briscoe joins from Alliance Bernstein.

“UBS Group has a strong presence and reputation in Asia and our asset management business has significant ambitions in key markets across the region,” said John Dugenske, global head of fixed income, UBS Asset Management.

Rene Buehlmann, head of Asset Management, Asia Pacific, commented: “We have already been managing a very broad range of strong performing Asian fixed income offerings and the addition of Hayden to our experienced team emphasizes our conviction to the asset class in the region.”

“His experience in China complements our aim to be a global leader for China-related investments, in both RMB fixed income and equity offerings,” added Buehlmann.
