He joined Towry forerunner John Scott & Partners in 1994 and has held a variety of roles within the business over his years there.

He became investment director in 1996 and has managed multi-manager, multi-asset class investment portfolios since that point, specialising in fund research, portfolio construction and risk analysis.

Towry was acquired by peer Tilney Bestinvest in April this year for around £600m. The two companies are mid-way through integrating the two businesses, including the restructure of the investment teams.

Earlier this week Tilney Bestinvest announced new heads of investment management for London and the Midlands.

Tilney Bestinvest’s Jason Hollands said: “I can confirm that Andrew is leaving the business to pursue other opportunities, but he will be around for a couple of months still to help manage the transition period. We are currently in the midst of the merger consultation period so I cannot at this stage provide more detail on what the final new structure will look like.”
