Fife-based RS Robertson Financial Planning has merged with Scotland-based Mackie Wealth Management and David Haddow Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

The deals take RS Roberston’s team of financial planners to six, complemented by five support staff.

Greg Mackie, principal of Mackie Wealth Management, joins the St James’s Place partner firm and provides specialist financial advice to recipients of personal injury and clinical negligence awards.

David Haddow, who also joins RS Robertson, is a financial planning consultant and ran his own business, David Haddow Wealth Management.

Gordon Laing, managing director of RS Robertson Financial Planning, said: “I am delighted to announce the expansion of our business which is testament to the growing demand for financial planning.

“We strive to ensure that our clients gain the very best financial advice so they feel informed and in control of their financial future. We understand that navigating financial products and services can be daunting and complex so we are privileged to support our clients as they progress through their lives, whether as individuals, couples, families or business owners.

“The last two years have, more than ever before, shone a light on the unpredictable and often turbulent nature of life. Society has changed, people are reassessing their lives from career changes to early retirement, life-changing considerations which require guidance and planning.”
