The company confirmed that the Rathbones private office will open in its London base towards the end of 2015, servicing high net-worth clients.

It is part of an overall reorganisation of the firm’s private client offering, and will see the existing services brought together under a single management structure.

Andrew Clark, the Rathbones’ head of private office, who arrived as part of the acquisition of Jupiter Asset Management in April 2014, will head up the operation.

Chief executive Philip Howell outlined Rathbones’ targeting of the “higher end of the wealth spectrum” in a statement released alongside the firm’s annual results.

“We intend to launch a new Rathbones brand in 2015 that reflects the progressive company that Rathbones has become,” he said.
