Nomura Asset Management has appointed Peter Ball as managing director for all aspects of distribution and client relations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Ball joins from Kames Capital where he was head of global distribution and director of institutional business for four years until January 2018.
With 30 years’ experience, he previously held various roles including head of UK institutional at JP Morgan Asset Management and head of investment at JLT Employee Benefits.
Ball said he plans to take the firm’s Emea expansion “to the next level”.
He will report to Richard Bisson (pictured), chief executive officer.
Bisson said Ball had a track record of launching, selling and marketing sophisticated investment solutions, plus leading global distribution teams. He said Ball’s appointment would help at a time Nomura was looking at ways to enhance its services.
