North has been on extended sick leave since earlier this summer and when he returns he will retain hs role as head of asset allocation, with Reeves as head of high yield and manager of North’s LGIM HIgh Income Trust. As yet, North does not have a confirmed date for his return.

Reeves is currently director of global credit research, fixed income, at AllianceBernstein and is a member of the team that overseas the allocation to credit within the firm’s fixed income portfolios. From 2000 he worked as a director of European credit research as well as director of research for the Asia Pacific team from 2002 to 2003. Until 2008 he was director of the firm’s European fixed income business.

While North has been away, Claire McGuckin has run the High Income Trust and it is now expected that she will return to her role as an analyst, reporting to Reeves, pending a thorough review that he will carry out when he arrives.

Until North’s return, his asset allocation role will continue to be run by the team managed by Roger Bartley, head of active fixed income.

Ben Gill will continue to run North’s LGIM Diversified Absolute Return Trust and, contrary to popular rumour, a spokesperson confirmed that the firm has no plans to change the fund’s name or investment objective.
