The personnel shake up comes as the asset manager develops its risk management strategies in line with growing investor demand for de-risked portfolios in the UK, Europe and the US.

Meder joined LGIMA in 2010 as head of US pension solutions and has been responsible for the construction and management of customised investment solutions. CEO Mark Zinkula commented: “Meder has played a pivotal role in the success of the US LDI business and has a wealth of experience. His strategic vision will help drive our business growth and enable LGIM to deliver solutions tailored to our clients’ investment objectives.”

Procter, meanwhile, will continue to work closely with LGIM and was praised for his leadership and expertise in developing the solutions business.

Zinkula said: “I believe this move strengthens our overall business, enhancing our ability to create end-to-end solutions for pension schemes looking to de-risk.”
