Hermes’ Emerging Markets Asia fund was launched in January 2010 and stands at £617m in funds under management. It is managed by Jonathan Pines and invests in around 59 stocks.

Its top holdings include Cosco Pacific, Korea Electric Power, Gail India, Hyundai Engineering and Genting Singapore.

The other fund for consideration is the JO Hambro Asia ex Japan fund. Launched in September 2011 the fund is £106m in size at the last count.

Managed by Samir Mehta, the fund’s biggest holdings include ACC Technologies, Zee Entertainment, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Page Industries and Bajaj Auto.
