Formerly operating director of the Succession Group, a national wealth management business, James Stevenson has now been appointed managing director responsible for the company’s overall culture and propositions.

Sanjay Shah has been appointed managing director of the platform and consultancy business Succession Advisory Services, after selling his IFA and corporate benefits company to the group in 2014.

Simon Charles has been appointed as HR director.

Ray Pierce, Succession’s executive chairman, said the firm continued to approach its target of recruiting at least 50 firms from its membership.

He added: “To successfully scale our operations to meet the increased demands for client-centric service and solutions requires the vision and people skills to deliver.

“These new appointments reflect the continued development of the Succession team and underline our commitment to creating the UK’s largest privately-owned wealth management businesses.

“They also reflect our refreshed commitment to be an employer of choice, attracting and developing the very best people, and creating a company culture that wholly invests in its people to redefine what is seen in the industry today.”

Hazel Hodge, Helen Blackmore, Karen King and Mark Stokes have been appointed into strategic roles covering membership, learning and development, human resources and marketing, to support the growth strategy.
