Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management has hired Charles Cohen as head of wealth management in Jersey.
Cohen has been with Canaccord since 2016, operating out of the London office. He has worked in portfolio management for over 30 years and before his finance career, worked in the army. Cohen has specialised in services for charities, pensions, and private clients.
In his new role, he will lead the portfolio management and stockbroking teams for clients based in Jersey and internationally.
Andy Finch, CEO of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in the Crown Dependencies, said: “I am delighted to welcome Charles to our Jersey office.
“He will be able to apply his international and Canaccord Genuity experience and leadership skills to support the team as it continues to grow while maintaining our reputation for delivering independent wealth management services to our private and intermediary clients. I look forward to working closely with Charles to deliver the firm’s organic growth goals in Jersey and the Crown Dependencies.”
Canaccord, which had £32.5bn assets under management as of June 2023, also acquired Intelligent Capital in November. The company also hired business development directors Toby Gower and Francis Walker this month for its IFA sales team.
