Elliott joins the firm from BlackRock where he was head of EMEA retail strategic client accounts, a role to which he was appointed in January 2012 after spending time as head of UK sales.

He will report to Alex Brotherston, who has been appointed as the firm’s first head of UK retail sales.

Mark Ward, formerly of Gartmore and Fidelity, is also joining the firm as marketing manager and he will cover UK and Nordic discretionary and institutional business.

The appointments come as the firm looks to build on its UK retail business across both advisory and discretionary channels, and as it seeks to take advantage of the opportunities created by RDR.
