Aviva Investors pulls the plug on global income funds

Aviva Investors has decided to shut two global income funds run by co-managers Nick Samouilhan and Paul Parascandalo.

The £60m Global Cautious Income and £39m Global Balanced Income funds can no longer generate required level of income without creating an inappropriate level of risk, the company said.

In terms of performance both fund have made money over the past year. The cautious income fund returned 4.78%, while the balanced version returned 4.15%.

Investors in the two funds can redeem for no cost or choose to be transferred to other Aviva funds.
