Ark Invest Europe, which acquired Rize ETF last year to move into the UK and European market, has launched three strategies as UCITS vehicles.

These include the firm’s flagship $14bn strategy, Ark Innovation UCITS ETF (ARKK), as well as Ark Genomic Revolution UCITS ETF (ARKG). The firm has also launched a strategy made specifically for the European market, called Ark Artificial Intelligence & Robotics UCITS ETF (ARKI). Each actively-managed ETF has an OCF of 0.75%.

The three vehicles are classified as Article 8 under SFDR and was launched today (18 April) on the Deutsche Bӧrse Xetra. They will list on the London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana and the CBOE Amsterdam tomorrow, as well as on the SIX Swiss Exchange “in the coming weeks”.

Cathie Wood (pictured), CEO of Ark Invest, said: “Over the past decade, a substantial portion of our website traffic, subscriber base, inbound requests, and social media traffic have come from people in Europe – a clear signal of the strong interest and demand for Ark’s investment strategies within the European market.

“Launching these UCITS ETFs is not just a response to that demand but a declaration of our long-term commitment to Europe. We’re bringing our best ideas and a decade-long track record to Europe, backed by a best-in-class product and distribution team from the former founders and team members of Rize ETF. This marks the beginning of a deep, enduring partnership with European investors, as we head into a future shaped by disruptive innovation.”

Ark Invest Europe was previously Rize ETF, headed up by co-founders Anthony Martin, Jason Kennard, Stuart Forbes and Rahul Bhushan. Ark Invest acquired the business on 19 September 2023, with the aim of offering “a blend of active and systematic investment solutions” to investors, focusing predominantly on innovation as a theme.

Wood added: “Our mission is to empower investors to capitalise on the most promising innovation of our age. The convergence of disruptive technologies across sectors is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, and we believe it presents one of the most exciting investment opportunities right now.”
