New analysts join SandP

S&P Capital IQ has announced a raft of new hires as part of the expansion of its equities operations.

The seven new analysts will be joining teams in the New York, London, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur offices.

Roderick Bridge and Unai Franco are joining the London team, working as autos and automotive, and capital goods equity analysts respectively. Bridge was formerly an equity analyst with Evolution Securities, and Franco was an equity research vice president at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The New York-based analysts are Robert Dezego, Eric Hugel and Westcott Rochette, who join from a variety of analytical backgrounds. Dezego most recently worked as vice president at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and will be working as an integrated telecom services analyst. Hugel, formerly managing director at Stephens, will be an aerospace and defence equity analyst, while Rochette, joins as an advertising and publishing equity analyst from Kacela Capital.

Chok Wai Lee will be working in the Singapore office as real estate and consumer staples analyst. He has worked as a senior equity analyst with Standard & Poors, and as a fund manager in both Malaysia and Singapore.

The final new recruit, Benjamin Lee, will work as infrastructure and building materials equity analyst in the Kuala Lumpur office. He was most recently a sell side analyst at ECM Libra Investment Bank Berhad, now merged with Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad.
