Schroders bond manager Isaac departs

Gareth Isaac, co-manager of Schroders’ inflation-linked and strategic bond funds, is leaving to firm to pursue other opportunities.

Isaac has 18 years’ experience in total and had been with Schroders since 2011. He sat within the firm’s global multi-sector team.

Before joining Schroders he had held fund management roles at GLG Partners, Societe Generale Asset Managers, Axa Investment Managers and Newton Investment Management.

“Gareth’s fund management responsibilities will be assumed, under the leadership and long-standing expertise of Paul Grainger, senior portfolio manager and Bob Jolly, head of global macro strategy,” said a spokesperson.

“Alongside Paul and Bob will be experienced portfolio managers James Lindsay-Fynn, Thomas Sartain and Jamie Fairest, who are supported by 40 fixed income and quantitative analysts,” the spokesperson added. “We will look to further strengthen the team in due course.”
