In her new position Kyle will work alongside Tom Walker as co-manager on the firm’s North American portfolios.
She has managed North American equities for over 16 years and previously was head of US equities for five years with the Kuwait Investment Office. Before that she worked as head of North American equities at Morley Fund Management.
The appointment is the latest in a series of moves that Martin Currie has made to strengthen its team in the sector. Matthew Franklin has joined from Schroders as global head of industrials and utilities research and Gavin MacGregor is moving from Credit Suisse as senior research analyst for healthcare.
As part of the reorganisation David Forsyth will now move to the Martin Currie Equity Income group as a senior analyst to help support the team in an area where demand is growing, most notably for the Global Equity Income fund.
