The multi-manager funds will be managed by Richard Philbin, and offer a degree of flexibility as they will be volatility-focused rather than risk-focused.

Philbin, who joined Hasley in 2012, said: “Each of my portfolios operates to a strict volatility band so the client always knows what they are actually getting. This gives me a specific ‘risk budget’ for each fund, within which I have the freedom to pick the most attractive assets possible.”

Advisers to the single manager funds include Alastair George, of Infinite Variance SA, and Hywel George of Intergral Asset Management. The funds will use proven investment models which are being made available via retail funds for the first time.

Stewart Teague, chief operating officer, commented: “We have received a number of enquiries from significantly sized intermediary businesses who are considering a restricted advice model, as to how we might be able to work with them, combining these strategies to enable them to offer a complete investment solution for their clients.”
