King joins a seven strong UK equities team, reporting to head of UK equities at AXA IM George Luckraft. He will be based in London.
King has spent the past six years in UK equity sales, first at N+1 Singer, then at UBS and most recently at Jefferies. Prior to this he spent five years at Ernst & Young.
Luckraft said: “John’s enthusiasm for the UK equities sector makes him a good fit and his experience means he can hit the ground running. We are excited to have him on board.”
