The MS Long Term Trends Ucits Fund is the third in a series of four CTA strategies available through Morgan Stanley’s partnership with Equinox Fund Management, a US multi-manager specialising in constructing portfolios of multiple CTA programmes.

Investors in the fund will be able to access the Winton Diversified Program, which has $25bn in AUM and was established in 1997 by David Harding. It commits mainly to futures linked to stock indices, bonds, short-term interest rates, currencies, precious and base metals, grains, livestock, energy and agricultural products.

Morgan Stanley already has a range of CTA products offering exposure to managed futures. Its FundLogic platform, launched in 2006, offers non-Ucits funds such as passive index and structured funds, alongside its more recently launched third-party manager Ucits structured funds.
