Sidani will be based in the London office, overseeing the fund’s $60.8m of assets under management.
Prior to joining HSBC GAM, Sidani managed SHUAA Asset Management’s Frontier and MENA divisions from Dubai.
HSBC GAM’s head of equities, Nick Timberlake, remarked that Sidani was a welcome addition to the team: “Ramzi’s proven track record of managing emerging markets money from the Middle East brings a valuable combination of culture and experience that will help deliver further investment performance for our clients.”
