The move is one result of recent strategy review carried out by the firm.
“As part of Charles Stanley’s strategic review aimed at streamlining the business and focusing on core activities, a decision has been taken to rationalise its range of investment funds,” a spokesperson said. “This will involve focusing on a narrower range of products which are more closely linked to its core activities, namely private clients, financial advisers, the Court of Protection and smaller pension schemes.”
“As a result, the managers of the Matterley Bond Opportunities fund, Peter Giekie-Cobb and Jeremy Palliser have left Charles Stanley,” she added. “We are grateful for all their hard work during their time at the firm and we wish them well in their future careers. Investors have been made aware of these changes.”
Geikie-Cobb had been with the firm since January 2015 while Palliser had joined the previous November.
The fund they had been running was only launched in May last year, and had not been able to raise significant assets.
